My apologizes for the lack of updates to anything lately. I moved to a new house recently and getting the computer work area back up and running has been a long painful journey. As I type this I have the monitor sitting on top of the tower and I'm sitting on the floor in front of it. There are boxes everywhere and no desk. Things should be back to there normal self by the time the next comic comes out so please bare with me at the moment.

So I've had a few emails in the past months asking if I knew of a way to get a subscription to Bongo Comics. The answer is this: No. The only thing I know is that you can preorder the comics from our affilate website. BUT, I am considering having that option for people again. Awhile back I posted a poll asking if Futuramics provided a subscription service, would you be interested in signing up. 2 people said yes, 1 said no. That is three total... so that didn't impress me and I filed the idea away. But now I'm wondering if it is something in demand.
To begin with I would only provide Futurama Comics as a subscription service and possibly branch out to other Bongo Comic creations (Simpsons, Radioactive Man, etc.)
If this is something you think you would be interested in doing, drop me a line and that will give me more of an initiative to get something going for the loyal Futurama Comics fans out there.

This image comes from my buddy Ross from the land down under (Australia). I'll let him tell the story:
"About five years ago I bought Futurama Comics Collector's Pack from a news agency here in Sydney. It's got the first four editions of the comic in a special printed retail pack. It was published by an Australian Company called Otter Press for Bongo, so it's legit merchandise. The comics have the price on the cover in Australian and New Zealand dollars. Was this something unique to Australia? Would it be worth much to a collector? I bought it and put it aside to keep, so it's still sealed in plastic. Absolutely mint condition. I've attached a photo of it with my can of Duff Beer! Enjoy!"
Otter Press is the publishing company that prints the Simpsons, Futurama Comic books in Australia. Between 1994 and 1997, Simpsons Comics were printed by Trielle Corporation. However, Trielle was in liquidation by 1998, and Rik Booth, a co-founder of Otter Press, bought the license to the Australian printings of the comics. 1999-2001 they were trying to catch up in issues and so they were releasing past issues when there wasn't a 'new' issue out. I believe what you have is a 'pack' of the first four published specifically for Australian readers.
From a collectors stand point, yes they are something worth to a collector. In my experience though it seems Americans like there version of it and Australians like there version of it, so if an American is a die-hard collector, they would defiantly be interested in it. But, I can't be 100% sure on that.
After a couple of emails he sends this back to me:
"I'll keep my collectors pack wrapped up like Laura Palmer. ... I love my Duff beer! I actually bought a whole case of it when it came out and managed to guzzle my way through it Homer style. By the time I realized it was being withdrawn from sale, I had just the one can left. It was bloody awful beer, but as it turns out it was the most valuable thing I've ever consumed!"
LOL! Thanks Ross for the picture and the emails. And if you have a story to share about your collection and/or have pictures to share, send them!
