Futurama Comics issue number 37 entitled Full Metal Racket was released Wednesday, May 28, 2008 but didn't arrive into stores until Thursday because of the Memorial Day weekend. Issue #37 was written by Ian Boothby and penciled by James Lloyd. Fry, Leela and Bender are on a mission to deliver food to a living planet when they pick-up a couple of hitch-hikers who take the three to liberate them because they are being over worked. Fry and Leela are dropped off on a planet with fresh vegetables, farm equipment and TRANSFARMERS! As the duo run for their lives they stumble upon a hole that drops them underground to find a woman by the name of Pamela and Zapp Brannigan! Bender returns back to Earth and comes up with a scheme that will get him rich by reversing the earth's magnetic field. He asks the professor for help but something goes wrong and Bender becomes a reverse magnet. So now he's not able to get near anything metal including booze, floozies, suicide booths, guillotines and professor's ultimate nullifier. Meanwhile, Fry and Zapp try to come up with their own plan on escaping the planet while Leela and Pamela come up with their own. Of course Fry and Zapp's plan fails and they realize that the women's plan of building a space ship out of natural material is much better. They return to Earth to find Bender about to catapult himself to the sun since there is no point in living. But Bender finds the space ship a much better idea than his catapult and tries to head for the sun only to explode and come plummeting back to the ground to find...
Sorry I don't want to spoil it for you. Buy the issue here
It was great to see Zapp in this issue. He's always great for a laugh and the best part is when your reading the comic you can hear his voice as you read the words. The beginning about Pac-Man chasing the little balls of food and then getting distracted by the Giant Dehydrated Snacks was funny. Tinny Tim makes an appearance as well. Also Bender's favorite drink makes a couple of appearances as well "Olde Fortan". There is also a little thing dedicated to Frank Miller. But honestly the best part was Zapp's appearance.
Best Moments: Zapp Brannigan! Pac-Man explained. Bender exploiting the Space Scouts.
Worst Moments: Once again the ending came so abrupt and I don't understand how Bender became demagnetized.
Overall Rating:

So on my :15 break at work I ran to my local comic book store and I walk in looking for Futurama Comics #37. I found #36 and #35 but not Futurama Comics #37 so I ran up to the office and yelled: "MARK! WHERE IS THE NEW FUTURAMA COMIC?!" He came out and said "Well let's take a look." And he found the same ones I found. Then he asks: "When did it come out?" I told him Today and then he says: "Oh, see, because of the Memorial Day weekend all the comics got pushed a day. So comics coming out on Wednesday will come out Thursday."
So to my disappointment I walked out. Mark told me to tell you guys that he blames Levi. (Who ever that is) And he's going to get punched in the face when he comes in.
Also a new poll is available for everyone to enjoy. And there is a new link that gives you the past polls in case you needed them. Also a quick revamp on the layout of the active news was done. I'll probably change it again soon. And finally, I brought the comments back. I removed them in the first place because someone was using them as spam by placing over 300 comments per news article of just links to pills and sex and whatever else. We'll see how well this lasts.
So... #38 review will be out tomorrow. Don't blame me, blame Levi. By the way, I was 5 minutes late after my break.
