Futurama Final Four!

We’ve finally made it to the Futurama Final Four!  Losing last week was 6 Calculon (3 votes), 5 Kif Kroker (6 votes), 7 Zapp Brannigan (6 votes) and 4 Scruffy (5 votes).  Moving onto the Final Four is 1 Fry (10 votes) vs. 2 Bender (7 votes) and 1 Leela (7 votes) vs. 2 Professor (8 votes).  This round lasts till April 12 at midnight and then the winners from those go onto the Championship.  There is no limit to voting, so if you like someone more than the other, vote, vote, vote!

Secondly, I’ve done a little more tweaking around here.  You may notice the new navigation banner things.  Instead of just large bold text for the headers of the sections, they are images. It gives it a little more color.  Also, I did a complete revamp of the comics section.  Before I was doing it by hand but I got worried that one day I’m going to have to change one stupid thing on all of the pages and that was going to take a lot longer than I would want.  So a little PHP here and a couple of hours later I got this thing working.  As far as I know it’s working alright. If you stumble upon something that is off, please let me know.

Finally, I keep getting emails from people asking me to publish there comics.  It’s getting a little annoying.   Coming up next is a FAQ to hopefully stop a few of these emails.

What Did You Do?!

Okay, so you may have noticed that I have made a few changes around here. First we’ll start with the main page. I changed the background from the yellow to this red to go with the title a little better. And speaking of the title, I decided to extend the title a little to fill up that white space. One of the big problems that were only recently brought to my attention was that the website looked ‘disgusting’ in Firefox… so I fixed that too. I cleaned up the active news tables and removed the comments link. I got rid of the shoutbox, which lasted for about a day and moved the Partners buttons over to the left under the ads. And finally I added the quote randomizer at the tippy top of the page.

Moving onto other section, I cleaned up the rest of the pages that had too much white space and corrected the CSS style to match the index page. And finally I added an upload form in the media section for fan submissions.

So I guess that’s about it with the updates. I just had some rare free time and thought I would do some spring cleaning. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions and comments on the page. I appreciate any criticism I get.

Finally, Futuramaics March Madness is coming to an end on Saturday and we head to the Final Four. Make your final votes and keep voting. Leela and Zapp have been battling it back and forth all week and your vote could be the one that matters. And I’m a little shocked to see that Kif is beating Bender by one vote. It only takes one vote! Make yours count!
